Radiance & Realness: A Creative Entrepreneur’s Journey

As a creative entrepreneur, I’ve discovered that engaging with social media isn’t merely a task—it’s a joyful hobby that fuels my passion. Sharing moments from everyday life, favorite meals, and sources of inspiration keeps the spark alive. At its heart, marketing is simply a more refined version of this personal sharing, tailored for business growth. Embracing this mindset has brought a sense of freedom and authenticity. And you know what? I’m finally okay with that. Embracing this perspective has been liberating.

Running a small business means shouldering countless roles, especially in the early days when hiring a team is still a dream in the making. It’s a whirlwind of do-it-yourself projects that demand creativity, grit, and a steady supply of matcha. The key to staying grounded lies in thoughtful planning and genuine networking—including extending connections beyond the realm of social media. While it is important and a key marketing component, it’s absolutely crucial to extend your reach beyond the glowing screens of social media — get out there! Attend workshops, rock those pop-up events, and build a thriving community alongside like-minded and local businesses. Real connections matter.

And, to get even deeper, it is important to recognize that each event and outcome will vary. Some initiatives may yield stronger results than others, and certain products may not perform as anticipated while others thrive. Professional connections may occasionally remain limited, such as an unread text or missed call never returned—and it’s all literally OK. Throughout your journey, you may find it necessary to continually refine and adjust your brand to reflect your evolving vision. However, it is essential to remain committed to your core objectives and the passion underpinning your business. Ensure you maintain a comprehensive plan, as well as alternative strategies should initial efforts fall short.
